Go back just one page on this thread and you'll see, I don't feel like re-copying or explaining it repetitively.

No conde nest trying to put 25 feet of ugly on this building. They can stay in Midtown for all the bullshit they're coming up with.

I didn't even know Conde Nast was allowed to install a vent like that.

I understand what's happening, but can someone tell me what it is?

Will a be a giant vent on the side? Or will it be like a hole or something? Can someone explain to me better?

I'm not any more informed on this than you are, but I think its pretty safe to say that this "hole" in the facade will not fly.

And Uaarkson, love that comment!

Conde Nast sounds like a high maintenance gf. First she wants a root, then food, then an iphone, then a holiday, then jewelry, then money, then another iphone cause she lost the one you bought her.

Was the height of the Sky Lobby designed with the top of 7WTC in mind?

It's goin' to be hidden behind the facade, so it won't be bad..

Renders by STR..

It's actually at floor 68, officially by the PA. The elevation where going to get in the coming week will put it at floor 70.

Is STR sure it'll look like this? Hopefully it will! The vent will actually be placed on the floor where the curtain wall is being installed right now

The vent doesn't look bad, but it would look better if it were centered horizontally. That would mean it would have to straddle the support column, but that should be doable.

Seeing as the glass floats above the stainless steel at the corners anyway... Couldn't the Conde Natsty vents be directed to one of the corners? Using a narrow floor to ceiling vent hidden behind the lip of the glass, there could be four spots where the exhaust could be vented without changing the look of the facade at all.

And if that is not enough cubic footage of venting, then duct it to the Northeast and Northwest corners and you get twice the openings (8 in total) all without changing the look of the tower.
