The clouds at the last picture look like taken out of an art master piece. Great pic!

I sure hope you are not right. GPS is the LEAST accurate means of measurement on a construction site, especially in a city. They don't even use GPS for road construction, and you honestly think they would implement it on a $2 billion tower that needs to be built to the inch?

Freedom Tower

Just wanted to express my gratitude to everybody here posting pictures of the progress of the Freedom Tower! It's going to be awe-inspiring! It already looks huge, and it's only halfway topped out! Not to mention that it blends in quite nicely with the rest of the Downtown Manhattan!

And a question. According to the diagram posted the previous page, the roof of the Freedom Tower is going to reach 417 metres. If I'm not mistaken, that's the same height as the Twin Towers?

As always, exquisite updates by Joe Woolhead

^I particularly love this shot: first one reflecting the glass of 1 WTC on 4WTC.

Wow, the ground work should've been a nightmare for the engineers in charge.

You know, I saw that and thought the same, but dismissed it as something on th camera lense. Now i've seen it from this angle, i'm confused too. Like they missed out a panel last week and only filled it in yesterday!

Freedom Tower

Yeah, I hope they replace or clean it. Imperfection will not be tolerated for a skyscraper like this.
