Thank goodness we'll get an unobstructed view of 3 WTC, wayyy more essential than seeing tower 1

imo that view would look better if 3 WTC still had it's x-bracing.
at least you can see the antenna, if 1 WTC was just a bit to the left in that picture it would be a perfect view from there.

how is the view for 3 wtc more essential then 1 wtc which is the center piece for the complex and not to mention will be the tallest building in the united states.

They've put up perimeter columns before raising the scaffolding in the past. Usually means the core work hasn't kept up.

But I can't see that column on wtcprogress.com's webcam, so your probably right about it not being a perimeter column, likely just a floor beam.

Ever heard of something called sarcasm

like Edmund Spenser once said in 1579:

An Ironicall [Sarcasmus], spoken in derision of these rude wits, whych make more account of a ryming rybaud, then of skill grounded upon learning and judgment.

Decking has been put down on the west side of the tower today. You can see it from the PA's webcam.

Sarcasm depends 80 percent on auditory inflection, something not available in the printed word and should only be attempted by professional writers experienced in this nuance.

Meanwhile... I am happy to see a column for 71-72. Finally we can reach the octagon floor and stop having to answer that common question... "When will we reach the perfect octagon?"

Assuming this graphic is correct is shows a) that the view is only blocked from one tiny segment of the Dumbo shoreline. Walk a thousand feet in either direction and you will see it fine as will you from the Brooklyn Promonade, the vast majority of the Brooklyn Bridge (only at the Manhattan side tower are you blocked based on that graphic) and even the Dumbo park under and south of the bridge itself will have a spectacular view. b) the only way to stop blocking views is to stop putting up new skyscrapers - every tall building built blocks some view of some other tall building. Personally, I don't like the new towers on the west side of Fifth Avenue that block the view of the ESB from 5th Avenue and 42nd which used to be one of the iconic views of the ESB.

It is NY, they always build tall buildings that block someones views. Unless you want the place to stagnate there is no way to avoid that. Personally, I want as many new tall buildings as possible

imo that new view from the brooklyn bridge is better than that view when the old towers were up (though that was a nice view too). The new complex seems to meld with the surrounding area better, and the view just seems like it will be more gradually rising now, compared to how the old towers seemed to stand out more in that view.

Apparently a stunning Dumbo photoangle was not considered in building the current cluster of WTC towers.

One of them technically will. Realistically (roof height) two will be approximately the same height and the other two will be a couple/few hundred feet shorter.
