I'm loving the cladding. It looks stunning!

Sorry if this has been asked here already just recently, but when is this building due to top out?

We were told 1WTC's roof would top out late this year, but due to the terrible weather this past winter, it's looking more like early next year. Although at the rate they've been going these past couple weeks, late this year is indeed possible (although unlikely).

The spire will take about 6 months to complete, so Summer 2012

The building is due to be complete in 2013

I don't believe it was ever scheduled to be topped out by year's end. They've stated from the get go that the memorial will be complete for 9/11/11, and that the tower will have made great progress. The winter held them back, but not by at least 20+ stories...

So.... For what reason will the spire take so long to be built, I've heard their will be traversable stairs inside it. But seriously that will rise slower than the full floors are taking. What could possibly cause it to take that long?

@MattToronto. I'm almost certain it is, or was at some point. I'll try and find where I got the top out by year's end from. But that's just what I read somewhere. My apologies if it's incorrect information.

@Dirty new yorker. I'm not exactly sure either. But I think that in addition to it's height, they need to build the antenna first, then basically wrap the spire around it. I'm not sure though. Don't quote me on that. Entirely a guess.

It will be a top target, but I think terrorists won't do the same s*** again! Hopefully!

It would be funny if there was a small window at the very top of the spire to which one visitor could go up and glance outside and forget about all of his or her troubles--but only for five minutes each.

Nah, anyone could go up--troubles or no troubles. I just get the feeling we all have em', sometimes, and a nice view--like the one from the spire, would help to forget them, if you had em'.

Well, as stated. Bear in mind rumor stated this whole thing MAY occur. I repeat MAY occur this 9/11. So be caution people. But at the same time, I don't think they care anymore. Okay, enough of this and get moving on (unless this whole scenario is freaking us). At the same time, I can't judge now until we see it to believe it.

Here is the old port Authority information saying that it will take six months for the spire to be completed. http://www.panynj.gov/wtcprogress/q-...-tollner3.html

Will they install the spire after cladding is completed, or will they work at the same time?

If it can be done simultaneously, they'll do it. After all, everybody wants this tower finished asap

So according to the port Authority information topping out should occurred around February of 2012 due to weather delays, construction of the spire should hopefully begain around june of 2012 and completion of 1 wtc should be around December of 2012 just in time for the end of the world.

One thing is for damn sure, it will be a hell of lot harder. No one will be caught sleeping this time. Just like the Holocaust hasn't happened again, nor does anybody who is somebody hopes or expects it to.
