Does anyone have any new additional photos of the INTERIOR of the building? It would be really cool to see how the fitting-out of the lower floors (those with cladding) is progressing.

king, I honestly can't believe you like the Mecca Clock Tower because I noticed that we like mostly the same buildings and architecture, but I do not agree with you here.
You'll find I like most things, ppl tend to hate at first. Like the Beekman and this building. And when I hate a building, I rarely change my mind about it.

You know how they kept the height to be 1776 for obvo reasons. If it mattered so much to them, then they should of built the building itselfs to 1776 feet and then put the spire up which would take them up to including the spire into the 1900's feet.sorry but it would just be amazing if they added just a few more feet. Nevertheless it's a beautiful building. How big do you think it will be by semptember 11th? Also are they not letting people right to the top or just to the level below the supposed restaurant? How long after do you think someone will plan a building even taller than the freedom tower.

Who knows remember by the time 1 wtc is complete the Willis tower will end its 40 year reign as the tallest building in the us but i am pretty sure that Chicago will want there title back and will build a taller building soon.

I meant in new York.... Probes take another 40 years until they build a taller building in new York. Although seeing some off the supertalls going up in now is amazing. All 4 of the WTC( yes I know I no that 4 WTC isn't a super tall but come on. It's like 12 feet away), one 57, tower verre, girasole and a few others I can't remember the names of. Really hope the one that is on hold on church street starts again as it would look brilliant alongside WTC.

Well still hoping for the Madison square garden towers that will be 1400 feet tall that will be 32 feet taller then 1 wtc by roof, that's the closest proposed project right now to rival 1 wtc but only time will tell if they will build taller in new york.

The tower is looking great and the area should be great in a few years time.
Yes the pain and memory will still be there but that does not mean that it cant be great again and instead of looking to the past we are looking to the future and I believe it could it will bring closure to people and show those terroist that they have not won and they never will.

Really starting to take shape this thing... It might look half decent in the end.

Honestly, they should just keep the night lights like that forever. That would be great, unfortunately though, it will never happen.

I was crossing the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge today notice that 1 wtc looks much more dominating from that view than it does from the ground.

It's not. It's gone up 50 stories in about 50 weeks, at this rate, the PA are hopeful that the One WTC will top out at the end of the year (unlikely, but very much possible)
