Yeah, those are darn nice photos. We are really lucky you are taking and posting them so we can be so up to date on the construction.

I think I nice dinner will be in order for you when all this is done. :-)

Seems already the tallest in Lower Manhattan. If not yet, soon it will be.

An awesome shot of One World Trade Center from this angle was on MasterChef Australia last week. You could see the glass from all angles. Bit dated now to post. The footage appeared to be from June sometime. 1WTC was just a tad taller than 7WTC in the video footage.

Its still going to look like just one of the twins standing for a period of time until the other towers on the site start climbing.

Yes, and having just one "twin" standing will actually look pretty bad and be a negative reminder. WTC 4 will help some but they need to at least get WTC 2 up asap.

I was thinking that also. Will appear somewhat like how the original One World Trade Center stood by itself for those several minutes without its twin next to it before falling itself.

AS a Londoner who ties to visit New York at least once every 18 months (and the other great American cities) I cant wait until my next visit this autumn (fall) and see One World Trade Centre in person. Last time i visited it was 10 stories high. This, along with 2, 3 & 4 WTC will be an amazing addition to an amazing city.
100c today? Wow. In London its reached that figure once (2003). However, we are dryer than most major cities, so please come visit (best to pack an umbrella as a precaution though)

Hi there guys!

How tall is 1WTC currently? What about the cladding at the bottom of the tower, when are they going to look after this part?

1WTC is a fantastic tower, & the clad really is up to it imo. And to say that I've never been to NY ...hopefully in the next 5 years I'll be able to make it, the huge WTC scheme should be completed by then...

Many thanks folks .

Nice comparison, Dino! It's amazing how much lower manhattan has changed since then.

+If new steel did go up tomorrow, how tall would that make 1 WTC?

If I recall correctly...

We were at 910' feet, so I think we'd be over 936' feet if we see more steel tomorrow. But that would still be 16' feet short of surpassing the AIG building's spire at 952' feet.

So, it should still be one more jump after this one for 1WTC to reclaim the title of tallest in Lower Manhattan.

Well, the giant magazine empire Conde Nast has leased a million square feet, and there are talks of a large Chinese conglomerate taking a bunch of floors. Though because the States is so indebted to China maybe they should just let them have the floors for free! LOL
