You are saying that a 285m building is taller than the "best supertall ever" winning Chrysler building, which would have confused me if
I hadn't been previously aware of your antics.

Yes, it is taller. And in the diagram both CHB's roof height and CHB's pinnacle height are stated. I can't imagine anything being more clear

@Kanto, there is no need to update us with false information. There is no need to say it is the 3rd tallest building in New York City when it is clearly NOT. It is however true to say that it is the 3rd tallest building by ROOF HEIGHT in New York City. Also, it is not clear. You clearly said it was the 3rd tallest building.

But I also said it is 285m tall and the diagram lists both roof heights and pinnacle heights of all the buildings. It isn't my problem you are too lazy to read what is written there

People, calm down. I can't see any reason for excitement, so just stop it.

By the by, I don't think that diagram thingie makes a lot of sense without showing the current height of 1WTC in it.

I think I see it too! So that would mean it's up to the 78th floor now, passing AIB.

Big question, albeit a rather stupid one. What exactly is the difference between a antenna and a spire?

I'm loving the Freedom Tower's spire, because it reminds me of the North Tower's antenna (only about 48 feet taller).

a spire is integrated in the original design of the tower and the purpose is for architecture looks. an antenna is usually added later and is used usually for broadcasting purposes.

Will the spire function as an antenna, or...?

The people who attack me every time I post a diagram are drama queens, not me

So listen now carfuly all of you haters, cause I'm not gonna repeat this, since it's off topic! I am using an official alternate measurement method which until 2009 was used by the CTBUH too! You can attack me as much as you want but I won't change it! It's funny how you have no problems attacking me for my diagram but you don't make your own diagram Non-productive hatred is easier than doing something, huh?

^Suggestion: read what people say, don't get sensitive and evaluate your work from an objective point of view.

Dino sayed it, I rather prefer to call it a mast. A mast that encloses an antenna.

Yes..There will also be a platform inside the spire which is symbolically called 110th floor..To match previous Tower 1 floors..
