Is it just me or has this thing risen extremely quickly in the last month? I went and saw this in the flesh exactly one month ago and it was tall then, but now it is looking like an absolute monster for the first time!

26 feet, plus a 4 foot thing for the next floor (sorry I can't remember the word right now lol) IIRC.

Right now it is 963 feet. 963 plus ~30 feet is 993 feet. So in meters, it would be a supertall (303m), but it feet it wouldn't be. Either way, two jumps from now, Manhattan will have it's first supertall since 1974 in every sense of the word

The Twin Towers opened in 1973...and anyway they still existed in 2001, so it'll be our first supertall since 2001.

It looks like the North Tower!

I cannot wait to see photos of that perspective. Let alone in real person.

I'm a newbie, just registrated myself. Only to let know how gorgeous the photos are, like to say how enthousiastic I am about these updates regarding the Freedomtower.
I watch every day and enjoy all of it.

What a great design! I am certain that 1 WTC won't fail to bring back the iconic image of the New York skyline, exactly as it once was in the Twin Towers era.

I've done this pic in december last year, and I was really nicely surprised to see the building under construction decorated like a Christmas tree...and the crane aroun too.
I love NYC and everything about it.
