Right now it is 963 feet. 963 plus ~30 feet is 993 feet. So in meters, it would be a supertall (303m), but it feet it wouldn't be. Either way, two jumps from now, Manhattan will have it's first supertall since 1974 in every sense of the word
The 78th floor is exactly 960 feet (then you add another 4 feet for the column splice). The next two floors will take it to 986 feet 8 inches. Then another 4 feet for the splice, and it'll be ~990-991 feet tall.

They should be over 1000 feet by the 11th no problem, then.

It is a relivent and interesting discussion to many and directly related to this thread. If it doesn't interest you simply skip over it.

No, it isnt DIRECTLY RELATED to this thread. This thread is dedicated to the construction of 1WTC and not to talk abt the possibility of twins. BS talk abt possible twins, 911 conspiracy and city vs city debates have ruined this thread several times and have even caused a temporary closure by a mod. There is simply no need to debate abt possible twins all over again and again and again. Even in the NYC section, there was a thread which was closed which was dedicated to talk abt possible twins lol. Ask a mod to allow you all to open a "twin talk thread" in the nyc section and go on THERE with this rubbish. There wont be twins again, so i really dont see the point to talk abt it.

The spire of the new 1WTC will only be 49' higher than the old one which was 1727'. In the back of mind, I was assuming it was going to be like 200' feet higher. However, it will be far more substantial and beautiful.

what are the odds that for the next 4 months they will do 6 floors per month so that they could top out by the end of this year.

After the office floors they are largely mechanical floors. Those are much bigger and more intricate. They'll take longer to build.

Hehe, I would like it too. I too, feel that Twins would have been better. It looks so empty between 1 WTC and 2 WTC, but where you put the second Freedom Tower was unrealistic, to be honest. No offense!

I'm happy with what we have, though.
