I don´t agree with you, is not fair to have a small building with a very large antenna, (not spire, cause this does count as height) and say is taller than an obvious bigger building to the roof when looking at the structure itself (the real engineering is this part), is just not fair in my opinion.

I disagree with you too. If a building with a roof of 200m and a 214m antenna(so 414m total), then it is said to be taller than the old WTC(south tower, 413m)? It is totally unfair.

I was supposed to read and see updates of Freedom Tower, not a nonsense discussion about spires and antennas of other different off-topic buildings !

Foundation work seems to be completed. They're pouring the basement floor of the freedom tower. Btw I see green and 'normal' colored rebar. Why are there two colors. Different steelstrenghts or something?

Tower Cranes

Will the tower cranes climb as the building rises ( as in Chicago Trump and Aqua ) or will they be anchored to the bottom ( as in Chicago's Waterview ) ?

So this 1 WTC will be almost exactly as high as the old ones were if not counting the spire. What's the hight to the roof then? 450+ meters?
When Petronas towers were built there were many people (most of them from US) wining about the spire giving it more hight, but now u do the same in your skyscraper. Shouldn't u say it's even now?

To my mind only the very top of BD can be counted as a spire, unlike in this and Petronas towers, which both have obvious spire on the roof.

You need to have flash player, maybe that's the problem.

Oh please, can we get past this damn spire talk already?

It's nice to look at the cam and see really visible progress actually taking place. For me, construction on this building is finally starting to get interesting!
