No, but there will still be a ton of lights on it, and I'm not sure if the spire is going to have some light refracting quality (or something of the like) that would make light that hits the spire spread throughout Lower Manhattan. I doubt it though.

I'm not the only one saying there will not be a light show like the one depicted in the graphics, so perhaps it is time to accept reality.

What is this the 3rd grade where if someone else says it it's true? I highly doubt either of you are working as part of the project, and unless you are I willbelieve what is stated in articles and renderings than what you have to say.

Perhaps it's time to not be self-absorbed. It's not going to look wholly like those renderings because they're years old it's not possibe to shoot mulitple beams of light over a mile in every direction, but the top of the building will be a light show, much better than the ESB and any other building in the world. According to the Libeskind, the spire is going to be the most important and showy part of the building.
"The spire that tops the tower will feature a revolving beacon that can change color and cast beams of light into the sky."

I wonder exactly what "revolving beacon" means.

probably a circle of spotlights that can revolve around the spire, when looking down at the roof

They must be concealed b/c I've never seen any of the lights in any of the renderings.

i wish they would just color the spire at night in coordination with metlife and the empire, keep it simple and blend it into manhattan.

that won't happen. the foundations are not thick enough and there're not enough steel beams to support the weight of such a tower. And don't expect twins. It's not going to happen.

The formwork seems to be almost done around the core walls. I suspect that when it is completed you should see a pour of the walls.

the formwork insdide the core is ready, the outside still need to be installed (I thought). They're now working on connecting the rebar. I think we'll see the pouring within 2 weeks
