Has anyone noticed how at night the Beekman and 1WTC are going to kinda look like the twin towers from those "under the Brooklyn Bridge" shots. Just the silhouette of the skyline, I mean

I might be wrong, but it looks like a "dog bone" moment connection. If there's any deflection, it will be directed to this "dimple" thus protecting the actual connection from damage.

Yes, it insures that the platic hinge occurs outside the column beam joint. It is for seismic concerns.

strange , in the picture above tower 4 ist much wider than the footprints of the twins.How wide is tower 4, when the twins are already 60m wide?

Perspective..It's higher, closer to the camera, so it looks bigger..

They look nothing a like, even at night you can tell the difference. Not only that you can see 1 WTC is blocks away.

does that crane mounted at the side of the tower have anything to do with the concrete core lagging ~10 floors behind the top floor?
