you may find a "Shoe Museum" a bit more interesting. I shouldn't say that but i have been to the Skyscraper Museum twice (they change the exhibits every so often) and was disappointed both times but if your a fan of skyscrapers then do go see it and judge for yourself

Totally awesome pictures Dino - GREAT work bringing them to us.

Shows once again this building is too small. Upper floors have pitifully little usable space. Hell, this place will probably have an observation deck smaller than the ESB one :-(

It's probably because of the tapering...

Then again, pictures don't usually give an accurate perspective.

That's a kinda good sign cause it means that the core is really massive. The Twins were built for maximum space and then came 9/11 and they were gone. Strength is more important than usable space

That is pretty true. But 1 WTC will have 2 observation deck floors, unlike the ESB.

Well, if we want to get really picky, ESB does have two observation decks:83rd and 102nd floors.

I believe the PA is going to use the 102nd floor as an extra observation level, but don't quote me.

I'd love to work in it...or at least get a chance to see it after it is completed.

Y'know, I really do miss the Twin Towers and how brash and imposing they were, but every time I see these skyline renders for the finished new complex, I love it. I love the way the four towers gradually ascend from the financial district up to the original height of the twins. I feel that this is a very good way to evoke the dual memory of the old towers- their rise and gradual acceptance as iconic symbols, as the new 1 WTC is already becoming, and their sudden and violent destruction, symbolized most viscerally by the slanted diamonds of the new 2 WTC, where it looks like the tower was slashed apart. Then, the reintegration of the complex into the the old streets of Manhattan shows the healing that has taken place since 9/11. I think that, in this way, the tower complex itself is as much a portion of the memorial as the footprints, in a very important way.
