Whoa! What is that really tall, skinny building behind and to the east of the ESB?

That will be such a nice angle when the complex is finished.

That is a cool render STR!

Wow, 440 Park could be an eyesore! One57 looks good, though, as do the other prososed towers!

Oops, sorry, I haven't heared about BVIC until now. It's nice to see another tenant on board

Btw nice render STR and even though it's off topic I just have to say it, 440 Park looks absolutely awesome in it. It is really the project of my dreams and the future king of NYC

It won't, but that doesn't matter because from the knowledge we now have (and I know that there is still much to be announced) it'll be 16 meters taller than 1WTC

Here I give you folks a diagram of how the new WTC will look compared to other NYC buildings seen in STR's rendering:

16 meters higher roof height will not make it king. 1WTC will be way more iconic, symbolic, important, and noticeable. The only people who will think 440 Park is king are the few roof height junkies like you who wont shut up about a building that doesn't even have official renders.

How can a building like that be compared to 1WTC....?

I agree 1WTC is way more iconic and excuse me, i like my supertalls to look like actuall supertalls, not just in height, but also in size. 440 park is waaay to skinny. It almost looks silly, I truly believe they should bring the height down quite a bit. Come to think of it I wouldn't be surprised if they announce it sooner or later...

Yeah 440 Park is ridiculous. But lets try to stay on topic for at least two pages, shall we?

kanto there hasnt been any official height for this building. all we know is there is a chance it could be tall due to its location. for all we know it could be only 1200.

and str thats amazing the city will look so futuristic.

Well consider the fight put up by the owners of the Empire State Building against 15 Penn Plaza over its roof height and close location. I can only assume that Larry Silverstein or someone associated with the WTC complex would fight any plans that would rise higher than 1 WTC, lest it become another Chrysler Building.

But then again, Anthony Malkin lost his battle and 15 Penn Plaza is on its way to construction...

Well, that's why I said there is still much to be announced A chance is only a chance but it's still far better than nothing
