2 or 3 more cladding rows and it surpasses 7wtc I think.

The tower in the clouds looks great! A novice question, what accounts for the space near the bottom of the tower just above the concrete base and below the first glass panels? The part where the flags are hanging..is that just exposed steel that has not had the glass panels added yet? I notice the area seems to go on each siide of the tower, below the first glass section. Must be a reason they have not added glass to that section yet.

That is part of the podium, which will have its own special glass. It was redesigned because of design issues, so we are having to wait a little longer for that glass

I almost feel it shouldn't count. It's more of a bad sign for the economy and the hope that varying parts of the private sector will move in, not just to this tower but any other.

"The smaller GSA commitment is a sign of health for 1 WTC, whose owners didnít want their world-class tower filled with government agency bureaucrats."

That quote offers me some hope though.
Iirc the old WTC had a lot of government tenants so it isn't really a surprise to me but I agree, it's bad news for 1WTC to get less paying tenants

Are the tip tops of the cranes approximately the finished roof height? Just curious when I imagine what it will look like, someday soon!

According to Durst and Cushman Wakefield, they are doing lots of walkthroughs with potential tenants. So that's a good sign. Some of those will no doubt sign leases.

I can't help myself, from this perspective it looks too small. That's why I don't like this position.
The best one is from the Other side of LowerManhattan. Seen from there, it looks ******* awesome

When it's finished it'll dominate the skyline from this angle too. Though I still think the east side of LM would deserve some supertalls too

The federal government will pay for the space. In fact, they are about the only ones that can pay these days. Not to mention they are paying for a lot of the WTC to begin with.
