They are really making great progress. Topping out in January-March 2012? Right now the best place to see its height is from Jersey or down near the site. Once its height reaches where the top of the cranes are now, the view from Brooklyn, and pretty much everywhere else will be great. Will really stand out then!

Decking looks done on the 84th floor. This has been the fastest they have done 2 floors yet. Come Monday we may see core scaffolding.

I noticed that as well. Let's hope the next floors come soon.

WOW. The 1WTC is already dominating the New York Skyline. Beautiful. I remember the days when we were all desperate to see some construction and complaning about how slow it was. This thing is rising up so fast that if you dont pass by this thread in two or three weeks you'll lost track...

I Love New York. Lets keep it going!!!

I'm amazed by the progress made at the world trade center site I remember a while back when everyone was excited about it getting past 7 WTC, and now it's just rocketed into the skyline I love this building and I love NYC

Well just wait 'til it's topped out, then it'll really be a cause for celebration.

When it tops out it will be a huge moment! Talk about media attention and when that ceremony happens and we see that last beam being raised it will be like rebirth. And that's BEFORE they raise the spire!

I expect there will be two celebrations: one for top out of the main structure AND one for the top out of the spire.

It's time for a new PA cam update. It looks like they'll be soon prepared to raise new steel

Oh wow! Last looked at this on 9/11 and it has advanced so much! It's already dominating the skyline! How tall is it compared to ESB at the moment?
