You're confusing topping out with completition, topping out will occur during 1st Quarter 2012 and completition of the entire tower by late 2013.

edit: Ignore the 89 & 90 tag, they'll both be office floors.
Do you have the source on 89 and 90 being office floors? Not doubting just curious

Also, in that rendering the corners end too soon because there will be glass for 35+ feet above the roof and that's where the corners will turn into points.

Oh! I apologize. I knew they were separate terms but I guess I just wasn't thinking. Thanks, Otie. ^~^

Last year the MTVA deal fell through, being turned these floors into office floors:

One World Trade Center rising on “super concrete”
Quote:
Floors 20 to 90 hold 2.6 million s/f of Class A, column-free office space. Just above the top of 7 World Trade Center, at the midpoint of One World Trade Center, will be its sky lobby. Above the uppermost office floors are more mechanical floors that will house additional equipment, such as heating-cooling-ventilating systems, water storage, and motors for some of the building’s elevators.
Although 89 & 90 are now office floors, broadcast equipment will still be installed on these floors.

Yup, corrner nodes end up at ~1334' and the corner parapet to 1368'. There's an error on that rendering though, the perimeter structure should extend up to the 1368' number.

I 1000% agree with you. Stoping construction would be the worst thing that could ever happen

Btw, here is an update from the WTC progress webcam: http://955.cc/ad

I went to NYC this past weekend and took these shots. First time there since 9/10/2000. It was breathtaking. Figuratively sand literally. It was cold.
