Fkn oath. Looks more cleaner and organised now. New base does well considering its near identical apperance to 7WTC base.

Also appears the spire has gone on a diet. Looks more slim and less looking as a fat tadpole.

How are the tapered corners reminiscent of the Twins? They didn't have tapered corners.

Just drove up to Newark from Philly today for a settlement conference. I love how you can see 1WTC creeping out from McCarter Highway (Rt. 22). Wish I wasn't driving or else I'd snap some photos - safety first!

I think he was referring to their being slightly cut off at the corners. The twins' footprints weren't just squares, the had a slight cutoff at the edge. Not too noticeable though.

Actually, the Twin Towers did have chamfered corners..

It's kind of difficult to tell, but look at their edges. They're not "straight".

I was refering to the pleated pattern created by the rotated panels.

Yes, columns won't be visible, and they won't be either at night. LEDs will get attached to the slots. The only way columns can get visible is by moving these LEDs to a few feet inside the podium, or leaving them as they are but removing the ones that are located just in front of the structure:

More likely 10 real floors and 3 mezzanines. Topping out by 1st Q 2012, curtain wall at mid-2012 and interior work done by the end of 2013

dumb question but will the new pedestal cladding have different color schemes like the top of the empire state building?

like sometimes, it can be colored differently for different occasions?

sorry...for the badly phrased question...i am typing this at 4am after coming home from clubbing and totally drunk

You seem do not get what T/O means.. It will be T/O when the spire is build, so I guess not in 1st Q 2012, but something like 2012 Q3 or Q4, right?

Indeed, if all floors are ready still it takes months to build the spire.
