Yeah I noticed that too. That was the only thing positive about that entire game.

The official roof height of 1WTC is 1368' or 1371 also ~1400' for the communication ring and 1776' or 1787' for the spire?

The roof slab is at 1334' 8", top of parapet at 1368'; the 3rd ring is at 1401' 5"; the top of beacon is at 1776' and the radome enclosure to 1784'.

*All figures measured from main lobby entrance, add 3'4" to any number if you wanna measure from north entrance.

I agree, but there's no room on the site for another building.

Otie, you're amazing! It's so accurate. Thank you for posting.

I feel the same way... It's beautiful without one, though.

I dunno but shouldn't the north entrance height be regarded as the main height measurement?

I agree. I have never seen an angle that makes downtown look so dense.

Υeah, absolutely... its funny, because 9 out of 10 downtown Manhattan photos are from the same 2-3 spots all the time. Either from Jersey or the Brooklyn Bridge or just from lady Liberty.

Not that we dont like these, we love them ofcourse, but we are used to them so much. This view is fresh and kudos to the guy who took it. It simply looks amazing and I seriously prefer it than any other!

Yeah, I love the view too even though 1WTC isn't very dominating in it

Agreed - Brooklyn Heights/DUMBO really provides a great vantage point, but this amazing image was taken high up from one of the residential highrises (along Cadman Plaza I believe) - which is why you haven't seen many. The views from the promenade and waterfront have 1WTC either hidden or not as high as even the Gehry. It's a tougher shot for random tourists and residents.

It will certainly be dominating once it reaches parapet height. Look at it in the photo, and now add 200+ feet to it.

Pardon me for not knowing, but in a previous post someone said the Ironworkers aren't working overtime anymore because they are owed 10 weeks in "stamps". What exactly does that mean???

Hi Otie.

That's the kind of stuff that needs to be posted - bravo.

The council will surely measure from the finished floor at the threshold of the North entrance (the lowest, significant, open-air, pedestrian entrance).

1787' 4" - 544.78 meters - height to architectural top
1795' 4" - 547.22 meters - height to tip

As I tried to convey to someone here months ago, 1776 will not play a factor in any official measurement.

As a side note;
Are the 3' 4" lower numbers as per the plans ?
I thought the plans have elevation 0.00 as an average finished floor height of the ground level and not the F/F at the threshold of the main lobby entrance ?

Ray.

I used the main lobby floor as the starting point in order to not to confuse people, since almost all of them aren't interested in the true elevations.
In prints, the finished main lobby floor is at El. 311'-2"; as you may know, zero elevation is 300' below mean high tide at Battery Park Point. All PA projects use this as basis so they don't have to deal with negative numbers like in tunnels.
I can't confirm the exact elevation of the north entrance since Zensteeldude didn't publish on his Flickr Photostream any prints displaying this section; however he did shared some prints with STR, who stated himself that north entrance is at El. 307'-10" a couple of months ago.
One other thing, the lightning rod height was a completely guess doing a pixel analyisis with the diagram released by ArchRecord. The final arrangement can vary from any set of prints.
