Pretty much.

There's no way this will be finished by the middle of 2013. The cladding of the base isn't set to begin till early next year. That alone will take about six months. They may finish late 2013. But I wouldn't expect tenants to start moving in till 2014. I'm pessimistic on when the observation deck will be open to the public too. Probably summer '14. That's when I'll consider this tower "Completed".

Those paper models are great, they look much better than the renderings.

Knocking the Japanese commitment to building quality skyscrapers is absurd. They likely have the highest quality skyscrapers on the planet. Did you not see that footage during the earthquake?

I hope that is an inaccurate model of WTC2 because those diamonds look seriously out of shape.

Woah dude, well I gotta admit how many people hate the freedom tower, its gonna be no surprise to me that a possible terrorist attack on the freedom tower will be caused by people who live in america and hate it. Sorry if it offended anyone, its just I like the freedom tower but want 2 of them to be built, or even replace 2wtc and 3wtc with the twin towers II.

im sorry but this may be one of the most idiotic posts i have seen. Americans who would rather a new twin towers would never, ever try and destroy the 1WTC.
