Hi Otie,

Thanks so much for the diagram. It's awesome to see all that detail of exactly where it is at. Looks like they have just about hit the top office floor. Hopefully, it will continue to rise again soon.

How frustrating to know the area we want to see in that video is mostly just a little to the right. You wait, then there is it 5 4 3 2 1 gone again.

How are the tapered corners reminiscent of the Twins? They didn't have tapered corners.
Yes they did....slightly chamfered, but chamfered no less

Yeah, that was discussed back in November. I just meant that the bases of the Twins were not more tapered in comparison to the rest of the building, as was the case with the original 1 WTC base design. The Twins were chamfered straight up from the base all the way to the top, not really comparable to 1 WTC.

the facade on this building is quite interesting in that it seems to almost possess different moods. on a clear day, its a bright and vibrant blue, and on a cloudy day such as in the above picture, it is a somber and slightly foreboding grey. it will be interesting to see what the screen for the uppermost mechanical floors does to this effect.

Some windows were left out so that they can install attachments for the cladding of the base. Some weeks ago they closed the holes with wooden boards, probably that snow cannot enter the building

Some of them were posted before? Ooops, sorry, I didn't notice that in all of the recent pics when I was posting them

Steel

The weather has not been helping, steel went up only this past monday, the last 4 days no work due to weather, the iron workers though are scheduled to work tommorow, they still need to relocate the hotels & subway shop out of the core and either to outriggers on the south side of the building as orginally planned or bring them down to grade.

By the way I checked with a Tishman Sr VP last evening and DCM is still on the Gem Tower Project.
