You left out the GSA lease. Below are the exact amounts of square footage leased and the floors they'll locate to. *Chadbourne & Park haven't signed yet. Looks likely, but it isn't official yet.

Floors 64-69: China Center (Vantone Industrial Co.) 190,810 sq ft

not sure if he "likes" it but he sure as hell deserves it. The guy does it every day for us and also goes into the city for other pics too, so to the poster that said it's always from the same spot, get your facts straight

If you cross your eyes and have a little imagination it's like they are rebuilding the original wtc..

Beekman will always be the highlight of that angle.

One more reason I think they built WTC1 too small.

If it were over 1,500 ft it would dominate Beekman, even from that angle, as it should.

Anyone know when they will actually start on the base cladding?

I wish this was not so, however it is what it is and 1 World Trade can be seen from different angles that makes Beekman pale in height.

I agree but it's tall enough for now... NYC will build taller buildings in the future I'm sure.

That's a great view with the mix of old (Woolworth ) & up-and-coming skyscrapers.

Yep. I dunno about that Beekman, some days I like it and others I don't. It's there so I guess I might as well appreciate it. On another note, I really hope that base cladding starts soon. We heard some news it was supposed to start next month(?) I bet it'll look great.. can't wait

I think we shouldn't worry about the Beekman dominating, it's a great piece of architecture, and only dominates from Brooklyn, as it was supposed to. My only issue with the development of downtown is the chance that the Woolworth will start to be covered, it's in my opinion, inarguably the World's best, most beautiful building, and it stinks that the day is not too far away when it will be lost in the fog of downtown highrises.

Sorry, I'm not from New York... Is the woolworth building the one with the green roof. If so, it's beautiful. Wasn't it the one that was competiting witth Chrysler building to get worlds highest building before ESB was built?

No, you're thinking of 40 Wall Street.

Beekman's highlight days are numbered. In a month or two, when 1WTC is topped out, the roof will be just below where the tips of those cranes are now. So it will appear even taller than Beekman, even from Brooklyn when it is topped out! And once the spire is installed on top, it will dominate even more! Just picture 1wtc's roofline below where the tips of the cranes are now, and you can see that it will appear taller than Beekman.
