Can't wait till they raise that cocoon.. it makes it seem taller when they do that. By the way, does anyone know what happened to Kanto? I haven't seen him on here in forever, you'd think he'd be going crazy with all the height increases lol

Still no cocoon for love of god come on and finish this building all ready, it took three just three years to build the sears tower, which by the way is still going to be 82 feet taller by roof, and is taking 3.8 billion dollars to make and believe me all of us new Yorkers are going to pay down the road with all the bridges and tunnels toll hikes, ok i think i got all this frustration out of my system now.

P.S when i complain about 1 wtc slow progression i mean no disrespect to the brave iron works who risk their lives every day.

The winds today prevented the crane operation on 1 WTC so there was no steel erection or cocoon lift etc. The brave iron workers spent the day welding moment connections on 92M/93, bolting up, installing pour stops. Hopefully winds are less tomorrow, they were just above the limit today.

Amazing pictures. The construction site is really huge and the buildings rising up are even better.
Good work, NYC!

Damn!! I love this buidling, but one thing that I don't like is that ther is no observationdeck on the roof... I think that when you stand on the buidling (roof) is more special than behind glass + you doesn't stand really on top but just some floors under rooflevel...
But I don't know why people say that this is a ugly buidling, I saw that show on Discovery and when I saw that you know right what all the stories are about this buidling. And than you go think diffrant about it (in a positiv way)

Sorry for my English. (I'm from Holland)

1 World Trade Center reaches 100 floors

1 World Trade Center reaches 100 floors
From Yahoo News http://news.yahoo.com/photos/ground-...nts-slideshow/

The new World Trade Center has reached a milestone: The skyscraper being built to replace the terror-wrecked twin towers is now 100 stories high — on its way to becoming New York's tallest building. Another four feet, and it will surpass the Empire State Building.

One World Trade Center, left, now up to the 100th floor, and Four World Trade Center, right, overlook the ongoing construction of the site, Sunday, April 1, 2012 in New York. The unfinished One World Trade Center is one of the city's tallest structures. If construction continues at its current pace, it will pass the Empire State Building this spring. Four WTC will top out at 72 floors. (AP Photo/Mark Lennihan)
