At this point it looks a lot like the Shard. Too bad its finish won't be anywhere near as elegant.

Man, this tower looks so amazing! I can't wait until it is finished!! Not much until they reach the roof level, and then the antenna!

Are you comparing this building to the Shard? Why don't take that BS somewhere else.

Its finish is indeed beautiful but I think One WTC's shape is so much more elegant and slender. Fits NYC perfectly.

So floors 100, 101, and 102 are the observation floors right? Because some articles are claiming just 101 and 102 are. also off topic but whats going on at the memorial plaza? it looks like the grass just died overnight. They really need to get this place looking nice for spring.

100-102 are observation floors. Some media don't know the restaurant was cancelled.

I noticed that too about the mem. grass. Weird.

The media really need to start reading Skyscrapercity/page to get their facts straight since they're often wrong.

Actually, I think it resembles the John Hancock Building in Chicago, more than anything else. Just a little taller.

last year they said april, but strong winds over much of dec/jan prevented them from keeping the steel erections to schedule...

now that we're much closer to topping out the steel structure, i think its safe to say it'll top out in late May.

nope. physically, the floors go 93, 93M, then 100, 101, 102 etc. if you look at otie's diagram, you will see how it works.

They really do have a similar physical shape, because of that.

I would say this is the case, except hancock does not eventuate to four equal sized facades at the top. Its more like a pyramid with the pinnicle missing. nonetheless, my two favourtie US supertalls.
