Also, do you happen to be in security? If not, I'd say you should leave that analysis to the experts before ripping apart the new measures.
I expected people not to act like a wet paper bag when it came to matters like this. Grow a spine. Life goes on. I sincerely hope that the majority of New Yorkers do not live in constant fear. The people being paranoid beyond belief are the NYPD. Overly paranoid isn't a strong enough word to use in 1 WTC's case.

As for your second paragraph, why not apply that to everything in the world? I love arguments like that. Oh, you're not in security? Then shut up! You have a question about religion? If you aren't a priest/rabbi/cleric/monk/whatever (sorry if I offended anyone by leaving something out) then you can shut up! Blah blah blah blah.

If that ugly concrete pylon it is a must, at least they should consider some other material. There are plently other stuff that give the same or more strength.

PA + Durst + NYPD + Politicians... a mix so deadly that we should be glad to get at least something. These redesigns lately are pathetic.

The Port Authority and Durst know the new World Trade Center will be heavily secure. I guess they figure why not make the plaza of One World Trade Center look less welcoming so this way tourists or office workers won't sit outside or hang around the Tower too long otherwise they'll be in handcuffs in no time.

^ They have already done that, the original plan by Peter Walker called for sweet gum trees at the Memorial Glade and at OneWTC's east and west plazas, there were some maintainance problems with those beautiful trees so they decided to replace them with swamp white oak trees to match with the rest.

100, the key figure. Over 100 stories, and under 100 feet to go.

I don't get why everyone is hating on the logo its nice, simple and to the point. This is an office building not a fancy art institute, what do you want confetti and streamers flying out as well? Welcome to the World Trade Center everybody WOOH!!! No, it looks just fine, I wonder if they will put it on a sign in front like they did with each Tower....

Also lets never call it Freedom Tower again, that was such a shit name from the start One World Trade Center is appropriate and sounds much better

I can't believe people are getting upset over a logo. It's hilarious.

That plaza redesign, however...

IMO naming it the Freedom Tower was a mistake. I hated it from the start and am glad they changed it. 1 World Trade Center has so much more relevance and meaning.

I believe it's because of popularity of this construction site..Everyone knows about WTC..It's one of the most popular construction sites in the world at the moment..It's widely covered in media..And this is where everything started..Media gave the reputation to this site..Rebuild, show power, build stronger, make it the best..Now people expect perfection..

But reality is far from perfection..Add here original plans which were made to show this power..Then crisis came, money left, redesigns appeared and now people feel disappointed because they have picture of perfection in their heads..
