I cant wait to see it complete. The original were very dominant and I would love to see the whole complex dominate the skyline again. I just hope the other towers can get a move on and rise so they can complement this beauty that is 1WTC.

In general, it's a very fine and elegant looking building. It's just that particular angle which doesn't suit me.

I agree. The corners make it look a bit disproportional.

Unfortunately, the 2011-FINAL is wrong. The base will not look like that, nor will the "spire".

2003-2006 one would look better than what it is right now. And taller.

Except it was never going to be 2,001 feet. It was always going to be 1776. The diagram is wrong.

And that would have looked absolutely stupid in the skyline.

Here is another Time lapse of 1WTC and 2WTC. I call this "The rise of 1WTC" I took a picture from earthcam each month since the skyline cam was available in august. Here is the animation from august-june

imo it was a terrible design, with that ugly spire that was supposed to emulate the statue of liberty's arm extending up to 2001 ft.
one thing is for sure - the entire complex looks much better today.

I think it'd have been fine without the spire actually...
