On TV they showed a shot of the World Trade Center with the fireworks! It brought me joy Meanwhile a sever thunderstorm warning is issued :/ Anywho the shot was only 4 seconds, but those 4 seconds were good enough to bring a tear to my eye on how beutiful this tower really is Good to be back 1WTC... Good to be back

Here is the picture:

I also recorded a video of it if you want that (Remember its only 4 seconds though)

Honestly, it is taking very long to say the least. Not only does this tower have so many delays and issues, it has changed so much from the very beginning, it changes so much, even while the damn thing is under construction. The base, spire, plaza, etc, etc.

there was an impressive lightning storm heading down the Hudson, no rain or wind though. Fireworks weren't the only thing lighting up the sky tonight.

they have done a lot of infill work that is hard to see from most shots. they have to do a lot of that by hand because there is a lot of leave out when you have internal climbing cranes.

Well they couldnt work for the past 5 days because heat index got up to 95+ degrees. But today was the first day with index under 95 in NYC so thats why.

I think what's really cool, is that the original twins has a very crisp and bright white edges around the building, almost like a perfect white outline to really make them stand out, and now the new 1WTC has those crisp silver/white lines, but obviously in a different shape, so sort of a new modern take on an old classic. This Building and complex looks amazing already!

3-4 degrees per 300m of elevation gain, not including wind. General rule of thumb for climbing anyway, and should apply there in NY.
