Exterior wise, though, not much had changed. Someone did a diagram a few pages back showing the WTC in early June. It didn't look any different. No new cladding, no new steel on top.

What has been happening? There has to be a reason why it is taking so long to finish the top floor and the rooftop after it went lickity split up to the 104th floor. Can somebody explain why, without being too technical? I don't think work was stopped all together, it must have had something to do with the complexity of the very top of the building.

There's a real simple reason, temps in the NYC area have been in the 90s for the past two/three weeks. Most likely too warm to work at the top of the building.

They haven't not been working; there's still work like concrete, fireproofing, and other interior work that's been progressing, despite the lack of steel erection.

The heat wasn't stopping steel erection of 4WTC. It's either high winds (also dubious b/c work continued on T4), or the PA wasn't paying the erectors like they did during the winter.

The old WTC was a true landmark and featured in many movies. I'm sure that will happen to the WTC as well as soon as it is finished.

I was there on Friday. Work has not stopped. The construction elevators were still constantly going up and down on both 1WTC and 4WTC. Probably as has been said, they have been shoring up the core and doing interior work.

Sounds like good explanations. Makes sense with the unusual heat there recently. I knew that it wasn't at a complete standstill, so thanx for the answers. I certainly understand, and hope the rest of the posters and readers, on this board do also.

It showed up as a completed skyscraper as well as the entire WTC complex in Madagascar 3.

This is unconfirmed
Over at Skyscraperpage , they are saying it seems we are 1,334 feet tall, and not 1,313.
So if that's true, we're waiting for the parapet steel.

There's two final jumps, the jump where the diagonal beams finally meet, and the square parapet on top of it.
