DKR was so incredible. It really was such an emotional movie, truly brilliant. The story was riveting, the scale was immense, bigger then any movie I can think of. The plot was incredible, it pulled at every level of your emotions, the fight scenes were some of the best of all time. (slight SPOILERS.......SPOILERS)The ending was so great I was nearly on my feet cheering. I wasn't sure what you meant about the ending scene and 1 WTC, could you explain it through pm ?

this is a serious question, not trying to sound like an *******:

Why is the parapet columns taking so long? They seem to be taking a lot longer than the regular steel columns.

It's the PA. I assume they are waiting for a popular date to top out or complete something, probably a little delay for a 9/11 concrete topping out or something like that. If I recall correctly, we were at floor 92 for ~2 months, so don't lose hope.

I saw this tower on my recent trip to NYC. Very impressive, it absolutely dominates the skyline of downtown Manhattan

Doesn't anyone know why the parapet is taking so long? What is the differences how tall is it to the actual roof? When will the cladding be finished? How will the spire be constructed? Will it go as a single piece? And any word I. If its going to be a spire or an attena?

Both curtain walls are innovative and share similarities, like using low-iron glass or allowing more daylight to come in than any other typical facade.
And about one being superior than another, well that's just a matter of taste.

Wonderful post.

I secretly wished that they had used CGI to render the completed WTC... but then I remembered that it's supposed to be Gotham and not Manhattan.

I think they only filmed there because they needed an island setting (the bridges) otherwise holding the city hostage wouldn't have made much logistical sense lol

Am I the only person who has entirely forgotten the absence of the base cladding?
I haven't heard anything of it for the longest time, and I find it peculiar. I'd love to see that finally installed.

New steel on site. But, nothing's been hoisted for days. Bottleneck! What is taking so long? This delay is certainly not because of the complexity of the project (which by the way is a lame excuse) Must be due to a delay of shipment of some other construction materials, or scheduling error.

what part of the city? I'm from SI and can get excellent views within 3 blocks from my house. Though its hard to see individual beams rise without an expensive pair of binoculars.

I think you should watch the documentary. The complexity of the project is not a lame excuse or an excuse at all.
It's a domino effect, if one thing does wrong, so do the others.
