The blue ring is the window washer track. The black ring of triangles above is the communication ring structure, minus the actual "floors" or levels that will actually hold equipment.

You know that for sure? And anyways, when will the communications ring begin construction? does the concrete have to reach the roof as well?

I don't know what the time table is for the installation of the rings, but I know from posts by construction workers that they are racing to get the temporary structure up so they can get the cranes up. The cranes need to be out of the way of the concrete slab, it's just that this time "up" happens to be above the roof. I would guess that the remaining spandrals are going to be installed after the 105th floor is framed and after that the cranes will be assembling the temporary structure and re-positioning. The concrete will then have to catch up and we might not see more activity on the roof until then. If they were able to keep pouring in the tower when we had that slow month it might not be that long of a pause. Don't quote me on this, I just read all of the forums.

there going to install the spire in the summer? i dont believe that, the summers nearly over
