I am going to agree with the Godfather on this one!

I here ya. for me it isn't so much about the height. But as long as you mentioned it, if i was in charge of this project it would have been a mile high with other taller buildings to bring it to the skyline. This is, in my opinion the most important skyscraper construction project in history, why should it be anything else then the next step in city evolution. enough of my rant.

I like the asthetics of the spire. that picture with the comparison says it all.

imo pinnacle height is the most convenient, therefore the best system. No spires to worry about.
This is how the CTBUH does it, it gets a bit ridiculous after Hong Kong's ICC.

New renders, both cranes still with a single line hoist.

This render is off because the horizontal mullions on the edge of the facade are behind the glass and therefore not visible.

IMHO CTBUH should not count antenna as a final height of the tower. Once they will do this we will get all kind of claims from other places. Not a good idea.

P.S. Durst can grow a pair of balls and make a spire.

It's a shame because I like the building, and the city itself doesn't need to cheat like that.
Does anyone remember the initial "mast" that was chosen for the final contest. That "antenna" looks kind of cheesy after what we expected.

Excellent renderings, PMad. One thing though, the curtain wall at the plenums won't have vents like you depict, they're going to be open, creating vertical slots that run all the way up.

Yeah, the coverage of the lobby was much more than I realized. It got away from that " bunker mentality" I was visualizing. I hope they get the prismatic glass facade worked out.

Hey everyone first I just wanted to say thanks for the support and second no I do not make money from my videos. I love making updated videos that show people different views of 1 World Trade Center and how it looks like from different areas of the city aside from Manhattan. If someone does not like a certain video that’s fine with me everyone is entitled to his or hers own opinion. I want to share what I do with everyone and my videos and show for the most part progress of 1 World Trade Center shown from a distance. This is all I will say on this matter, I will continue to make more videos in the future; if you want to view them that is your business I will never demand people should view my videos. This is a hobby for me on weekends when I am free and I post here so people can see quickly what I have done. Now enough of me let’s keep to the subject 1 World Trade Center.

Could you elaborate on this? There will be louvers over the vents, correct? Like at Tower 4?

Don't worry about it. You just need to shrug some stuff off. As someone once told me when I was younger: you can't make everyone happy. So just keep doing what you're doing.
