setting a homage to a building complex that will always be in our hearts is not an offend, it is a praise, when i saw these base at the one in beijing, which is also that way i was not only surprised but felt a bit moved. i liked it a lot.

Wow, gorgeous. Is there a larger version of this? Almost looks like a model shot with that depth of field.

Don't know what the big deal is.

It looks the same on Google Earth.

No, the design isn't exactly the same. Who cares if another building uses original WTC design elements? Having the outer columns like that serve a function as well as a visual impact.

I 1000 % agree with you. It is a beautiful way to honor the victims of 9/11. that's why I always wanted the Twins to be rebuilt. Because that would be the most beautiful tribute

I'm not sure it was a tribute. The cladding also looks cheaper and less impressive - I actually liked the reflective tridents a lot.

These towers were built before 2000, then, they coexisted with WTC twin towers for a time. If you go to Google Earth and look for images from the past, the earliest aereal/satellital picture was taken in 2000.

I'd rather not to ruin this topic posting pictures about it, if you want to see more, please look at this post
