We are just talking about the number of supertalls, nothing more.

Hong Kong has a nice skyline, bit comes nowhere near the architecture of New Yorl.

HK has 6 as well, but only one of those is a supertall because of its spire
Not counting spires, NYC has 3. But we count spires so NY and HK are tied for the amount of supertalls

Some things are facts, such as that Hong Kong currently has a higher building than New York. Other things are a view, for example, you will find that Hong Kong has better-looking towers than New York. My opinion is that New York has the best skyline and Hong Kong only has beautiful towers above 300 metres, nearly all others are ugly.

Not as much ugly, but dull and boring.

At least they all match the generally blue and silver color of the skyline. Most of them avoid the primary Southern skyline and are all in Kowloon. I love Hong Kong though. My favorite collection of supertalls probably.

Hong Kong has no art deco whatsoever. Just plain boring glass shapes. Youre calling the Chrysler, Bank of America, One57, One WTC, & the Empire State boring? And NY easily has a better view, with all of NJ, Connecticut, Long Island, & all the way out to sea. EDIT: i thought you meant NY is ugly my bad

hong kong has shenzhen behind mountains, if thats not a view i don't know. and it is a matter of fact that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, i for example am not the biggest fan of art deco and prefer modern glass towers over historical towers etc. i think both skylines are among the best of the world and if anyone says different they are rather ignorant considering the facts play for both cities, they are probably the densiest cities in the world considering highrises.

I have learned to admire every architectural style there is. I love Chrysler, 40 Wall, and AIG for Art Deco (not a huge ESB fan), Sears, original Twins, and John for their geometrical perfection, and 2IFC, BOC, Petronas, and the Center are fabulous. Jin Mao and Taipei 101 are great examples of classical Chinese shape. I love all these, and they all have good and bad sides to them. I find very few buildings that I absolutely hate.

One thing that only HK has that I love is the mountain views. In all other cities, to get that high, you can't see the building you are in. It's such an asset.

I would love a mountain backdrop as long as it was like the backdrop in Santiago,Chile. The mountains in Hong Kong aren't of my taste.
