Yea I agree! I wish it could surrounding the memorial as well

It would be difficult to connect new WTC7 the way the old WTC7 was connected to the complex since we no longer have a raised plaza. Maybe another underground connector? I think that might be our only hope. They are moving away from skybridges.

As there is no mast and only the frame holding it the crane will lift another piece of mast inside the climbing cage, lower down then pin it in. This is how I believe the crane that will erect the antenna will jump as there is no basket like they have now

Heres a video showing how they jump the cranes that are inside the building

They are in fact smaller. The first ring of trees surrounding each pool marks the actual footprint of the former towers, so if you were standing next to the pool, you'd basically be standing inside one of the towers (if it were still there). That was done intentionally by Arad.

I envision a bridge much higher than the original, connecting the 11th floor of 7WTC with one of the higher floors of 6WTC. An underground tunnel might work too, but the lobby of 7WTC is quite small, so it would be difficult to fit a staircase.

I'm sorry for being off topic, but does anyone know if the Vesey Street Bridge and the "south bridge" will be dismantled after the WTC is complete? Probably only the Vesey Street Bridge, right?

How much more interconnected will it be? Is every tower connected with each other and the subway?

I myself am trying to accept that we are getting an antenna rather than a spire, oh well as my friend Bill says it is what it is so be it!

A new crane is now on top of the tower. Great view on Earthcam!
