Are they taking all the cranes down? No more cranes?

It's hard to believe that the old north crane had been here for almost 5 years and 5 months:

Sorry if someone has asked this before, and I looked back and didn't see anything, but can someone explain to me the process of taking the last crane down? How do they remove it if there are no other cranes there to help with that?

From what I've heard, they first dismantle it and then send the parts down via an elevator. I can't think of a better way...

A derrick crane is used to disassemble the cranes, then IT is sent down the service elevator.

Not how the boom is made up of many almost square sections and each of the two rear supports [shears I think, I forgot the name] have six joints each showing where it comes apart.

Quote:
The derrick crane was conceived as a specialist disassembly crane for stripping down cranes on tall buildings, bridge pylons and telecommunication towers.

The dimensions and weights of all individual parts on the new crane are therefore designed to enable them to be dismantled with the aid of a very small hoist and removed via lift shafts in buildings.

I don't think it was intentional, most likely just a coincidence. I think the design of Tower 3's roof and spires was intentional (boxy shape, somewhat reminiscent of the old 2WTC). Even so, you're right, once the antenna goes in, it'll look even more fantastic
