On the "Memorial Pools" KPI camera it is clear that they have started instillation of the steel beam above the doors in the south entrance that will be the lower anker point for the vertical cables. The first horizontal arm for the glass overhang farthest to the right is also installed along with the horizontal mullion that will be at the top of the doors plus one vertical mullion that will act as a door jam. Two cables are clearly visible and attached to the beam. It looks like base cladding has initiated.

^Work on the cable-net wall started more than a month ago, crews were preparing the white brackets at the top of the cable wall, the first cantilevered beam that will be part of the canopy was put in place during first week of October.

I saw something in the KPI camera, I guess I just thought I was looking at some temporary structure but today I finally realized what it is. I'm sure others have done the same. Is the start of base panels supposed to be this month or next spring. I'm fairly sure it's safe to say the first antenna steel will not arrive until spring. I did see some steel go up on the cameras today, but I'm worried about the river freezing.

All said and done i really wish they had made 1 WTC much taller. Roof height of 1776 would have satisfied me.

^Wow, they must have rearanged one of the panels to allow installation from top to bottom (all standard panels are configured to be attached one above the other).

The Port Authority and the counterpart are working day and night to get the lawsuit resolved, current program still schedules the delivery before St. Lawrence freezes (first week of december).

I hope so, but about the glass. How will they install the panel below it? They need to be able to lift it from a hoist above, which they can't do if there is glass in all the above floors.

That's the mistery I'd like to solve, I used to think the gap would extend all the way up to the top and that the filling would start from the 20th up. I guess time will tell.
