He guesses.

I think they will remove the netting once the core reaches the roof.

He's his own source.

But there's some truth to it. I don't see this finishing next year. Maybe some of the lower floors will be finished and ready for tenants. But the upper floors and observation deck likely won't be open till 2014. It's biggest tenant Conde Nast, isn't expected to move in till 2015.

You wanna know how the Freedom Tower looks like when it is finished? Just take a look to Germany. In small town (Villingen-Schwenningen) in the southern part of the country there live its little brother; the Neckartower:

great...thatīs around the corner of my hometown, just 20km away from it. when i first saw the "tower" (actually itīs just 45m high) in spring 2010 i thought itīs a nice little WTC...but hell, itīs a landmark in Villingen-Schwenningen

BTW...when will they start with the cladding of the base of the REAL WTC???

Thank God! It would have been ridiculous if they had to wait until spring because the ice in the Canadian rivers prevented the shipping in winter just because of an unpaid bill which is comparatively small considering the size of the complete project..
