shit guys how's your hurricane?? You dont think this will drastically affect the construction of the tower do you? Apparently it is possible the streets of Manhatten could flood which would be incredibly problematic.

very windy here. very strong gusts. if we make it till tomorrow we should be alright. We have high tide to contend with tonight which will make flooding interesting.

I remember reading somewhere that the island of Manhattan was hit by a hurricane in the 1800s eerily similar to Sandy, and flooding split the island of Manhattan into two islands due to flooding in the area known today as Midtown. I doubt it will happen now with dikes set up, but you never know...

So, I found this picture on the 'most recent' tab of imgur.com....

Obviously its bad quality, but it seems that they are talking about flooding at what seems to look like the WTC memorial? I wonder if there really is flooding going on there....

Across the street at the Wfc is a marina. It's possible some water might creep it's way over to the memorial

the site itself has drains and pumps to combat flooding, the concern is salt water in the subway system
