New York's skyline is so impressive that London's 2nd tallest building lookalike is a pygmy when placed in Lower Manhattan.

By that same argument Dubai Marina skyline is so impressive that when 1WTC is placed there it doesn't make much impact at all in the skyline. There is more to a skyline than height.

That's not much of an argument. This would dominate dubai marina skyline by it sheer bulk compared to those towers, as well as it's height.

This. Dubai's buildings are thin. This would stick out a lot.

^ There is only one tower in Dubai which has a roof height greater than 400m: the Burj Khalifa.

I really like it, but I think the skyscrapers without the full glass facade really ruin it, and an eye soar, but with the new WTC, its makes it look a lot better, I hope they get renovated or something though. BTW, aircraft in back round, thanks for enlarge.

although that is true, with no height you don't really have a skyline, i mean, i know your from london, london skyline isn't all that impressive in world standards, definatley in european standards

and 1wtc is a beast, you should see it in person, quite a beauty.

Why does this dick measuring contest pop up every time. London is a great low rise city with some high rise, NYC is a great high rise city. Irrelevant. This is a thread about 1WTC!

A bit off topic, but in regard to the photo otie and dexter posted on this page, you can see how beautifully 8 Spruce Street's wavy facade catches the light from that angle on the far left.

Anyway, it's amazing how this thing just dominates 3 WFC, 7 WTC, and Goldman Sachs, all buildings in the mid 700 foot range. This things a beastttt.
