My aerial picture of the tow was stolen from my Flickr Album by Getty Images . The watermark removed Imaged cropped sold to NY Port Autority. without my knowing and permission. No credits. I missed several sales.

I think/hope he was kidding, but there is a hemisphere on the top that the L channels forming the last section are welded to with the support for the red beacon and lightning rod are connected to extending out the top. So he was half right. Its visible in a picture of the final section being loaded onto a trailer from a while back.

The glass over the mechanical floors will be far more difficult to install due to multiple factors. They include lack of access from the inner side, the panels may have to be lowered from several stories above instead of one story, and the time it takes to move people and panels the increased distance will slow things down[not mentioning the wind].

I have a new theory for the new m760d, they may have decided to use it to lift the lower sections before removing it and setting up the TG-1900 and it might be required to either move or remove the south crane for commencement of the ring construction. The south side of the temporary platform may interfere with the installation of the Kevlar guys and the cooling towers on the south side of the building. What is known is that the new tower cannot climb so it must be replaced eventually to allow the antenna mast to rise to full height.

Many people have asked already and no one has really answered, when will the first piece of the antenna go up?

1. When will the mast sections in Newark be at the wtc site?
2. I think the closing of the gap in the cladding on the west side of 1wtc might be because of the large floors. On floor 90, the top of the glass isnt attatched to any beam so maybe the glass works differently.

The Western facade's glass is considerably stronger in case of another impact, if I recall correctly.

I like the new antennae design so much better! The old one with the spherical frame and sheath over it just looked plain ugly on top of the design of One World Trade Center. If it was on top of a more curved, spherical building it would look awesome, but not on such a strong, sharp angular, slick cut building such as 1WTC.

It doesnt have a ball!

The antenna should be wrapped with a metal frame, like the boa.

If you don't know, how could you assume that somebody in this forum must know that?
If nobody answers, it should be that nobody knows, really.

To all the people that repeatedly ask for that information, please, either do the research for yourselves or just wait for it to happen, it is not like is a matter of life or death.
