The syntax was odd, yes. I meant to say the last piece delivered will be 1A and will be hoisted next week. Not the last piece to be lifted.

Of course there's always a chance Irish is mistaken as well. That does look like the base section that we see in the diagrams, both in terms of design and size. Upon further reflection I think Voodoo is correct and it is the base section. It's too big to be #7, which is disappointing because now I realize just how spindly this thing will be.
You are wrong, why would they hoist the sections not in the order they will be mounting. The roof top is small and there is no room to stage them. Besides that I walked from Pier 25 with an engineer from Tishman and the head of fabrication in Canada. I believe them.

Who knows if it's the base but it's not the biggest in height. If you look at the pic that I took last night that's below, you can see there are some tall pieces. Keep in mind that the barge's depth is a couple of feet deep. My friend from J. Supor is going to let me know when the biggest will be moved. When I know I will pass it along on here

Agreed. It is very small. From a distance, like JFK or the Jersey Turnpike it will be barely visible.

Definitely a diappointment.

The piece they hoisted up first would certainly be the base. It's the only piece I've seen without a machined bottom. it also appears to have some mounting brackets on the bottom which i would assume attaches to the roof of the tower. we've seen the top and there is definitely no room up there for more then one of those larger base pieces.

that curvy thing is probably a thicker/stronger lift mechanism since the antenna piece is 67 tons!

Did someone say that the last piece of the antenna will be put up next tuesday?? That means it will finally be done (ie: completely topped off) before New Years??

Um, I might be wrong, but shouldn't the instalation of the antenna take 3 months?

Some renderings by Visualhouse (same 3D studio hired by Related for Hudson Yards renderings), quite dissapointing they used dbox material for some of their visuals...

I think they meant the last piece will be delivered to the WTC site on Tuesday. I'm pretty sure there is no way in hell this will be done by the end of the year. I would love to be wrong though..

Why did they totally screw up 4WTC in those renders?

I don't know who the client was, but they clearly didn't had any papers or drawings. I'll keep digging...

What material are you referring to? The photography is very similar, but not the same.

The piece lifted today looks really skinny compared to the building and the scary thing is, that's the thickest part
