Not to stir up any arguments, but member how ugly everyone thought the twins were when they went up? Don't worry, 30 years from now no one will care about the damned antenna.

I agree. the tower is great. But the antenna kills the impact of the tower. The tower tops out at 1376ft. (from the diagram a few pages back.) However, the spire ends up 1776 ft.

So effectively speaking we have a spire which is 400ft. in length. Ridiculous.

The building is only 1376ft. tall (not 1776ft.)

It's not basic. Boxes are basic. This is NOT a box. It's a bunch of triangles in the 69 position. The design is ingenious, and exists nowhere else in the world.

Those Christmas lights on the previous page! People are getting into the holiday spirit! Also, I think the spire will turn out fine, this will be an iconic tower because of it's location and brilliant design.

The tower crane on the north side worked through the night to take apart the boom and loading it on trucks to be hauled away.

I will be making the trip down late Saturday night with a few friends of mine to see one of the pieces of the spire moved. Photos to follow

Finally the next row of glass is finished. Now they have to raise the scaffolding before they can start a new one..

I don't think there is, maybe something vaguely reminiscent of WTC1 but not really the same design. I haven't seen anything that could be called the same design.

There's one going up in Kunming that is essentially the same design.

This will be the last year 1WTC is turned into a xmas tree. I wanted to point out on building #7 on the lower left hand corner the #7 in on the facade made out of small fins, difficult to see and all of my friends have missed it in person.
