The cause of the fire as quoted from the link above...

I made a joke which was completely off topic.

Why? What is wrong with them. 3 new supertalls, and another very near and thats leaving out 7 and 5. ''Defeatism?'' Anything but, if they did that the whole site would be turned into a memorial but they have built up bigger and better(yes better) than before. We all love the twins but most people wont be pleased with what replaces them no matter what. Accept them and you might begin to enjoy them.

Totally agree! The twins will always be in oír memories, but just in our MEMORIES. Today that's what we have, so let's enjoy them.

Bigger? definitely not bigger. The tallest towers of both complexes are the same tall and the second tallest of the old complex is 28 meters taller than the second tallest of the new complex. Several other, even shorter towers won't help to compensate for this the slightest bit. In my opinion that definitelly can be cathegorized as defeatism

Height is what defines a skyscraper from a normal building. Skyscrapers have to scrape the sky

I'm just glad that everybody is safe and that the fire wasn't in any of the towers

Ohh, all this time I thought the pavilion (?) building was burning from the inside, looked to me like a very expensive and time-consuming repair if that had happened.
At least it's just a trailer that burned.

Kinda strange because just this morning a car burnt to a shell not far from where I live...

1WTC with spire is taller, 2 wtc is 1 meter shorter not 28. 3,4,7 are taller. These are all much more beautiful buildings. All the twins had was size, as much as I loved them. So the success of the project is decided by the height? So you would of prefered the old wtc design with the 2001ft building with only 1200ft of usable floors? Height does not determine the building. I could name countless buildings better than the Burj Khalifa, Tapei 101, Mecca clock tower, ect.

1368 is tall, barely but is, however 1270, 1073 and 977 is not. I don't care about spires or antennas, the new WTC is shorter than the old one because a 1270, a 1073 and a 977 building, even together can't properly replace a 1362 building. If tower 1 was at least taller than the North Tower, but it is only as tall as the North Tower. Design matters a lot but when dealing with skyscrapers height matters too, and the new WTC is definitely height wise a huge dissapointment since it has even less height than the old complex
