Alright, I'll trust you here. You just seem to be really hard on it over such trivial matters in the grand scheme of things.

AND quickly approaching 40,000 posts. Will it be finished by 50,000?

I can't WAIT to see what the base cladding will look like in a large section.

Well, no one can. But we all have learned here that patience is a virtue.

Maybe for telling 4 different people to "Cry me a river". And in case you haven't noticed theres two forums and perhaps thousands or millions of people who support this building, so I don't think that's an issue.

That's because a lot of US scrapers are old! After all, the US was the original home of the skyscraper with Chicago leading the way.

Most of the Eastern and Midwestern US cities are a wonderful mix of classic and modern architecture, with NY probably the prime example.

China was later to the game. So everything will naturally have a more modern look.

It's just a matter of 'centuries'.
20th century was the US and Western century.
21th looks to be the Arab and East Asian century.
And the geographic distribution of rising skyscrapers is simply the expression of this.

why is it that CTBUH has the completion date on 2014, can't believe they would not open the tower one years after it topped out

Hi all, I'm new on this thread and i wanted to share with you some "crazy thoughts" ...I now it sounds a bit too " conspiracy theory" but you can't never say.... lately I've been wondering if these constant "stop and go" have something to do with some sort of backside project .. 1 year ago I heard on the news that the NYPD had a secret weapon that could shoot down an airliner in the event of a new terrorist attack "9/11 like", so I wonder if any govt. agency is actually preparing such a defense system somewhere near the top floors ... tactically it would be the proper positon for that ... or should I drink less..??
