Looks like they've also removed the pad for the climbing crane in the last 48 hours as well.

That's alot of Mechanical floors and quite a way down from the top of the building ? Like it is really only a 60 ?? office level building ? I know the idea was to replace what was lost but the single tower compared to the original WTC 1 has the corners tappered and lots of mechanical floors leaving it well short of floor space of the original. You still get the original height and profile from certain angles with a much smaller building......I like it, just sayin...

The base has 6 actual floors, but it "counts" as 20.

Often major buildings have large or tall lobbies where the first office floor might be equal to 10 or 20 floors above ground level. I see USA usually counts levels from ground ? So the first office level may be 20 ? and up and on from there. Here we say ground floor then 1st floor where ever that is.....yeah the next above but it maybe whatever distance above the lobby........anyway, looking at the building's roof level it is as high as the old WTC 1 which was 110 floors all an acre each right to the roof....amazing...what building anywhere in the world has that nowdays...and usually spires or masts add to their official height...not knocking that either as I have had a thing for the ESB since I was a kid... : )
