So much drama on here; just saw the tower from Randolph, NJ it looks superior, and so tall. Does anyone know if that is the second segment of the antenna on the platform or did they remove the first one?

The music is depressing but the lyrics are talking about dancing and cheating on a friend?

I'm pretty sure it's a new segment.

It's metaphorical. When you take it literally, they're completely unrelated. The sax makes the song in my opinion. Gives it a great mood.

Back on topic: How many cooling towers have arrived thus far? Are there more than shown in that photo?

That's the national september 11 museum.
It maybe looks weird because it has a doconstructivist design to resemble a torn-down building still standing.

On topic: I really like those glass panels on the mechanical floors. They add a certain touch.
So why they didnt rebuild old towers ?

i hate to say it i hate when people use the fact that thousands died in there as some sort of guilt with what the BUILDINGS looked like. Yes i liked them, i mean they were not the prettiest buildings, lets be honest, were talking about the buildings themselves not the people in them..

It looks massive with all that new glass on. The vents really add to that effect, like they give a reference point to its height...

Also, 'Box' is one of the many unintentionally derogatory terms on this site.
People act as if 'box' is synonymous with bad, or something. People who truly appreciate architecture would never call a building a 'mere box'.

based on the profile of the comm ring, those cooling tower units need to go in ahead of the ring or they would be twoblocked

That makes sense indeed, I believe the ring will be directly above everything.

You know what I hate, I hate it when people start using the excuse of ''why we should not rebuild the
Twin Towers'', because 2753 people died there. You hear that all the time from politicians, and even the
public and I am sick of it and hate to say it.

But, I agree with you, that we should not use the victims of 9/11 as an excuse for anything and try not to let people feel guilty, because the buildings and the victims are separate from each other. So, that is a senseless point.

True, they were not the most aesthetically building in the world , but
they didn't have to be and I don't care about that. I only care for what they
stood for, about who they were and what beauty they represented for NYC and the USA for Freedom, humanity and above all ''World Peace''.
They were the buildings where dreams were made of, just like the USA is. There wasn't a
bigger statement than the Twin Towers ''What made New York New York''.
It is just my opinion, you don't have to agree and can have your own, but I hope you understand it.

He also said they were iconic and they were. For something to be iconic, it must posses some sort of universal Charm, and the twins had that. The were simple, yet magnificent and incredibly unique, and there is absolutely nothing ugly about that.
Nowadays, for a building to be considered good looking to you modernists, it must posses a glass facade, caved in skin and the weirdest shape in the book which is a shame altogether.
