Not over the top, granted it is my opinion, but I did not say something that isnt true.

This antenna is more skinny even from the one the original WTC had. And some people have the audacity to call this a spire?

THe original design was beautiful and made the tower even more impressive.

So I dont get how this is "over the top".

Maybe some people just dont care about crowns in buildings, I on the other hand consider them very important. And I consider this whole thing with 1WTC a fiasco. They spent billions to make the tower and suddenly the problem is a few extra millions...or some maintenance issues (as if you cant make adjustments in design to incorporate solutions)

I thought it looked like an oversized joint, but that's my opinion.

Can someone actually provide the measurement of diameter of the old one vs. the new? In actual numbers?

I think it looks quite good from certain angles...

Either way, it's being mounted onto of the buildings and there's nothing any of us can do. Unless we all can raise $10 Million dollars(I'll be the first to add $50).

Corner Stone

OK I have a question for all of you. What ever happened to the Large Corner Stone that was laid then picked up? Was it ever put back in the site? Just wondering abopt that. They should have put Pataki in the corner of this building. Thanks

How will they put the final piece on? Will they put a new crane up or will the current ones reach that high?

In other news the base cladding is going insanely fast as well!

Is there still a possibility of a 2013 opening for this building?

Half the concrete section on the south side is covered

The short elevator on the west side was completely taken down, I just noticed.

No, partially because base cladding as well as the rest on the tower can't be finished until the east lifts come down, and they still have a bunch of interior to do I'm sure still....
