I certainly have to agree with that! It looks like somebody completely different designing it without knowing what the rest of the building was going to look like.

Exactly what I think. We have a sleek modern building topped with a rustic, industrial-looking antenna (I refuse to call it a spire, and don't think it should be counted towards the final height). The styles simply don't belong together.

Well the antenna was suppose to be hidden, so i'm sure they didn't care for a design.. Also, why hasn't anyone tried to stop the spire change? PA? Libeskind? Childs? I've heard of childs talking about an alternate deisgn, what happened to that?

is the spire change even official? I haven't heard officials saying that the radome has been removed. I think the antenna story is complete bullcrap. But we'll see what'll happen to the mast.
Though that wide circular piece on the "antenna" looks like a cage which will eventually be used to cover up the steel construction of the spire.

They're so busy trying to get tenants and financing for the rest of the project, I doubt encasing an antenna is one of their top priorities. Give them some time to sort things out and I'm sure they'll do whatever they can.

I've decided not to judge the antenna until the platforms are off.
