We all need to play nice here. I doubt anybody would get tierd of seeing page after page of spire compliments, so why get mad with the complaints? It all has to do with difference of opinion. I'm not refering to just you, but several different posters on this forum.

Please take no offense, but honestly people have the right to post their opinions. You may not see it as a discussion, but that doesn't mean it isn't.

Alright Chris thank you. I guess we'll just let things play out...sorry for any tension meh_cd. Also, be mindful that there is an attitude sometimes on here because not all of us have the blue prints.

I am actually pleased with the antenna. Doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought, so far....... The next sections going up is what worries me.

I'm somewhat disappointed with the base cladding. The metal plates behind the glass make the base look dull and grey, not really pleased at all.

Yeah, I'm really glad that' it's the color it is now. It's clearly visible, not really think, (so far). I never liked the orginal spire enclosure.. It was a little to fat. If they could have enclosed it in a thinner enclosure, that would have been great.

Am I the only one that found the argument between Filipe and Meh hilarious? I hate to say it, but I secretly enjoyed it.

And amazing pictures Controversy. Keep up the good work, man!

I was bored this afternoon and made this, based on the official renderings. I'm fully aware this is never going to happen, don't worry, I'm not Kanto

Original rendering by Miller-Hare.

Paint the antennae pink, that'll be a nice surprise. Because whats on the Sear's looks farmore like a description of what a spire is supposed to be than this birdcage. They will find a way to make this a spire which is a shame,, CTBUH may just get paid off for this 1. I love Tower 2-3 too PMAD,, I just don't want to see them stripped of what we were "somewhat promised", The CrissCross made 3 look awesome. Just like the top of 2 looks awesome,, I hope you're right and Silverstein comes through,, It just seems like we've been shafted wih every "New" change.

People shouldn't assume everyone who joins this forum knows everything about this project, asking questions is the way to find out things after all! A forum should be a topical informative place to exchange ideas, and anyone should be welcomed and free to ask any relevant questions whether they are new or not. If some people on here can only resort to ridiculing or putting one down for inquiring about different aspects of 1WTC, then they should expect that people will not tolerate it and seek out friendlier forums.
I'm sorry, but you are expected to read all 41,941 previous posts so you don't ask a redundant question!

Also telling Filipe he has an aneurysm, what the heck is wrong with you?
Using your "logic" every post out there that says " awesome building!" and " I love the cladding", "I love the antenna" is also considered PRAISING and thus is not NOT DISCUSSING.

But I never see you complain about those kinds of posts....

The spire is going to create a lot of complaints and those complaints are grounded on the fact that this travesty completely destroys this building's architectural aesthetics.

You really need to DEAL WITH IT.

The most offtopic posting in the last pages is your "crusade" against people who express their disappointment over a very important part of the building's construction.

Mechanical Vents

What is being placed in the mechanical vents? It appears to be plywood. Is this temporary and does anyone know why? Thanks
