It looks ugly because you see the reflection/refraction of the ground, move the camera angle to street level and your statement will surely change.

The souvenirs spire reminds me of the rocket launcher from Renegade, I'd take the real spire better than that smoke stack.

Yeah about a 1/3 of the cost too, thanks for linking that.

ugh

Hotel Attraction (wikipedia)
Here is an example of a normal project by the Spanish Architect, perhaps the role model for Santiago Calatrava.

Although this one isn't painted, and I don't feel like posting pictures of his more colorful works, but imagine this but with colored tiles on every inch. I'm a fan of Calatrava, but I'm gad 1WTC was selected in it's current state, more or less.
I don't know what to make of that 1st bldg, may have been cool in that era, looks like OZ to me, and the girth is massive, looks like somekind of iceberg castle, but who knows if it were 1180 ft, people would have grew to love and appreciate it, Now speaking for the rest of the antennae, are they coming by boat? Big trucks? Or are they stuck on the inerstate in 3 ft of snow,, somebody should know where the hell these pieces are,, unless the truck got hijacked and that company is taking their shit back due to lack of pmnt.. No seriously How come NOBODY knows where they are?

No direct sunlight in the lobby? Looks like they're covering a giant bunker with that cladding.

Base cladding looks decent. You need something opaque to hide the concrete from view.

Podium enclosure should take 8 months and curtain wall will be complete by the end of May.

Nice! What about where the east elevators are, when do you think that will be filled in?

If you mean natural light than obviously not. It's solid concrete behind the glass. There will be a little light let in from each sides entrance though.

I feel like the lobby is going to be kinda creepy there's no way it's going to be as bright as the renders depict.
